What gets in the way

A shift is a person, not a placeSupport is delivered to a participant at their own address, and a roster built only around sites cannot say who is going where.
The notes live in three placesA support worker writes a note on paper, texts the coordinator, and the incident is emailed to somebody else that evening.
Invoicing is per participantOne invoice per customer means per participant, not one for the whole month of everything.
Who may see a care planNot everybody who can see the roster should be able to read a participant’s plan.

A week at Marrawah Community Supports

Marrawah Community Supports is invented for this page — an invented provider with eighteen support workers and forty participants. Every business and person named on this site is fictional, and so is the data in the pictures.

MondayThe coordinator builds the week. A visit names the participant rather than a building, and carries the address the worker needs.
TuesdayPublished. Each worker sees their own visits on their phone, with the time, the occupation and where they are going.
WednesdayA worker clocks on at the participant’s home and writes a note on the participant’s record — which only the people given that area of their record can read.
ThursdayAn incident is recorded against the shift and the participant, and whoever has to act on it is notified rather than told at the next meeting.
FridayLeave is requested for the following fortnight and approved by the person who can approve it.
End of the monthApproved hours are invoiced per participant, with your ABN and GST on the invoice.
